PROJECT GOAL

I joined AMBOSS in November 2021 as full-time Senior Product Designer.

My responsibilities have involved both the website and enhancing user engagement on the platform. Specifically, I have been working to ensure a seamless user experience and interface flow for students and clinicians in key areas such as the CRM messaging on the dashboard and the personalised landing experience on the Home section.

QUALITATIVE ANALYSIS

RE-EVALUATION

Project "Home" was initiated two years before I took over. I ensured the designs aligned with our target group's interests by working with the Education and User Research teams. We conducted a survey to adopt a user-centred design approach, focusing on M3+M4 students. Our goal was to reduce search time, offering a personalised platform entry where users can easily access recent activities and recommended items tailored to their study objectives.

CLARIFYING USER FLOWS

COMPREHENDING ALL SCENARIO CASES

To ensure comprehensive coverage of edge cases and effective display of CRM messages across all user scenarios, I mapped out user flows and collaborated with the CRM team, developers, and cross-functional designers. This approach helped us understand the users' needs and design an optimal UX for Home as the platform's starting point.

DEFINE FRAMEWORKS

UNDERSTAND, EMPATHISE & PRIORITISE

Collaborating closely with cross-team designers, we aligned business values with user needs to ensure goal achievement. Through multiple design workshops, we focused on pragmatic solutions, understanding modules and technical requirements. We defined clear frameworks to ensure stakeholders can transparently follow our design solution.

ACHIEVEMENT

Just before I left Amboss, our team successfully deployed a personalized welcome message with an enhanced search feature, offering quicker access upon entry. The new search includes history, allowing students and physicians to easily find recent entries.

We also improved CRM message styles with a slimmer design, eliminating the full banner that pushed content down.

Additionally, we launched a mode switcher for M4 students transitioning to clinical practice, providing a tailored experience to help them focus on their objectives.
