PROJECT GOAL

In my role as a UX/UI Designer & Consultant, I assisted the startup in developing the concept for a responsive website with a focus on mobile-first design. The objective was to create an online shop using Shopify that catered to individuals between the ages of 25-32 who were interested in skincare and overall well-being.

ADDING PERSONALITY
OPTIMISING UX FLOWS

After using the suggested Shopify template as a starting point, I quickly realised that several features required further investigation. Specifically, the company's vision and mission, as well as the desired UX, were not adequately addressed.
Given our focus on mobile-first design, it was crucial to ensure that the target users had a seamless and speedy shopping experience.
PUT IT ALL TOGETHER
STRUCTURED GUIDELINES​
Using the defined color palette as our guide, we developed a design system that provided a comprehensive overview of all components and modules.

CLOSE COLLABORATRION
GATHER FEEDBACK
Collaboration is crucial for effective teamwork, and we made a point to work closely together and openly share our thoughts throughout the entire process. We stayed in communication through various tools and also held regular one-on-one sync meetings to exchange comments and feedback.

FINAL RESULT
GREAT ACHIEVEMENT
After nearly six months, the website went live with its initial set of features.
Overall, we successfully accomplished our mission, and we've continued to run several A/B tests on the web shop to further improve the user experience. These tests include experimenting with better readability by using a different typeface, adjusting product image behaviours, and other user-centric approaches.
